FLiP

FLiP means: Female Leaders in Philanthropy

...But what does that mean? I'm glad you asked!

FLiP is about being a part of a network of gifted women committed to this community. It's about having the opportunity to use our heads, hands, and hearts to bring about change. It's about making a difference through both philanthropy and volunteerism.

United Way of the Ozarks recognizes that women have a powerful voice in our society, with the skills and resources to affect change and the abilities to improve other's lives. The FLiP program was developed in 2003 to help women better understand their power and influence in humanitarianism and altruism, as well as provide them with the opportunity to participate in philanthropic endeavors.

FLiP is a part of a caring account called the Women's Initiative Fund. United Way of the Ozarks invests in agencies and human service programs that are proven to be among the most efficient and effective in our community. These agencies and programs are improving people's lives, one person at a time. Through the Women's Initiative Fund, maximum community impact is achieved in any of these areas or others:

  • Domestic Violence
  • Women's Health
  • Substance Abuse Prevention
  • At-risk Children
  • Women Helping Women
