Junior Achievement of Southwest Missouri supports our Springfield schools and educators by providing valuable k-12 classroom resources that are well-tested, hands-on programs taught by caring community and business volunteers. JA's programs focus on basic concepts of economics and show how education is relevant to the workplace. The sequential activities foster lifelong learning and help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future. With a range of different programs, Junior Achievement teaches about concepts relating to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness. JA’s programs are correlated to Missouri Show-Me Standards and Grade Level Expectations.
Independent studies have shown that students who participate in Junior Achievement are less likely to drop out of school, they are more workforce-ready upon graduation and experience improved test scores. Junior Achievement will continue to evolve and meet the education needs of our youth and nation. In doing so, it will never lose sight of the heritage of Junior Achievement and our country.
