Mission
The mission of LifeHouse Crisis Maternity Home is to protect the unborn and their mothers in crisis situations by providing food, shelter, advocacy, and education in a safe and loving environment.
Through these provisions, the goal of LifeHouse is to equip and enable mothers-to-be with life skills they can utilize for their personal success and for the future success of their unborn.
As a 19 year old girl, pregnant and in crisis, Sharon Maples found herself in a vulnerable, desperate position. Without knowledge of resources and afraid to turn to her family for support, she chose abortion as the solution. Fast forward through two decades and healing, Sharon discovered her purpose while volunteering with a local agency serving pregnant women. LifeHouse began to take shape and develop under God’s direction.
Our Facility
LifeHouse obtained property from the City of Springfield in 2011, and we will be building from the ground up. Our vision is to build 6,000 square feet to house up to 20 expectant mothers and their babies. Our facility will also be equipped with an up-to-date high tech security system from the George Hay Company that exceeds standard security systems on the market today.
The House will be the shelter the women need. It will be a sanctuary for the unborn and a haven where the bonding mother and baby can reside for up to 3 months after delivery to help ensure success after exiting the House.
