 The Power of Clover

How does it work?

The machine employs what we call Vacuum-Press technology, which – for the first time – combines two methods considered best for brewing coffee: the “French press” and the vacuum brewer. Individually, these home brewing technologies have sufficed for more than 100 years. But they have drawbacks in the fast-paced retail environment, including the fact that they take five minutes or more to deliver their brew, and can be awkward and messy.

Care for the Earth

Recycle, Reuse, Renew

The Coffee Ethic desires to be a sustainable enterprising venture. This means that we will always consider and implement processes and purchase products that are reusable, renewable or recyclable.

Tables, bar facade, our library door all were made of walnut salvaged from the Ice Storm of 2007 and a tornado in Arkansas.

Our benches are salvaged beans used in the construction of a Cotton Mill in South Carolina in the 1870’s.

Our chairs are mid-century designer chairs purchased from an antique dealer

The main floors are original and have been refinished. Flooring behind the bar, in the bathroom and on the stairs is made of recycled rubber tires.

Our to-go cups use cornstarch instead of petroleum in the lining and are 100% biodegradable and compostable.

Sale of Swiss-water decaf process coffee, which uses chemical free process for decaffeinating.

And so much more!
