What we DO

United Way of the Ozarks is in the business of helping people.

We do that through resource development, community building, and project management. The local board of directors is independent and it alone establishes policies and determines how resources are distributed. The annual campaign provides continued funding for affiliated member agencies.

In communities across the Ozarks, the lives of thousands of children, adults, and families are made better thanks to the services of United Way's member agencies. Your contribution to United Way gives people hope for a better life. United Way agencies help people learn to read, feed the hungry, give shelter to the homeless, protect families and children from violence, restore hope after a disaster or illness, and renew faith for a brighter tomorrow.

In addition, United Way provides one-time grants to other nonprofit organizations for start-up expenses, special needs, demonstration projects, and emergencies. United Way also manages several grants and contracts with Community Partnership of the Ozarks.
