Veterans Haven is a non-profit that provides a modest family style home for veterans who have served in the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard.  The Veterans Haven home living arrangement allow Veterans to live in the comfort of a home environment with soldiers from all wars and ages.

There are few restrictions placed on the Veteran that is often obligatory in a nursing home.  Healthy meals are provided with fresh vegetables from the garden.

Veterans enjoy an exercise room, day room, crafts room, game room and a dinning area.  A very large yard that encourages outdoor gardening and other activities.  Veterans are encouraged to maintain a busy and productive life style.

At Veterans Haven we want to create a social environment for veterans to enjoy the time they spend with us.  We want them to be active and to feel needed, so we have a group of activities for them to engage to fill their time.  Below are listed just a few of those activities:

Various Card Games
Backgammon
Chess and Checkers
Bingo
Horse Shoe Pitching
Gardening
Attending Ball Games
Trips to Branson

We also have high speed Internet available through a wireless connection and at least one computer in the Day Room.  We encourage them to participate in many other activities to keep their minds and bodies busy.  We have a staff nurse and a councilor available to those that may need them.  We also have staff that help with getting benefits they may have with the VA and other veterans groups.  This is all designed to accommodate them in a "family atmosphere" that would not be available in other care facilities.

Donation Information

Veterans Haven is a 501-3-C non profit organization.  Our official name is Veterans Haven of the Ozarks, Inc.  At Veterans Haven we do not have any employees and all work is done by a cadre of volunteers that believe the same thing, that all donations should go to the operation and upkeep of our facilities.  We will begin postings of Certified Financial audits showing the dispensation of all funds received by our organization.  If you would like to contribute we give you 2 choices.  You may send your tax deductible contribution to our address above.
